A Soft & Sweet Bohemian Wedding

We heard the word "bohemian" a whole bunch this past wedding season while brides and grooms were telling us about their wedding style. When we think of bohemian weddings, we imagine perfectly-imperfect design, macrame, mismatched details, nature, colorful floral, laid back and casual vibes and all things non-traditional. Of course we love all of those things and wanted to create a version of this with a Pretty Little Vintage Co. twist.

As you scroll through, you'll see our mismatched chairs, lots of woods and whites with some little vintage details. We wanted to use some bright colors but also a lot of natural wood and neutral tones. All of our ideas came together and if you're asking me, the outcome was beautiful. We had some new inventory (rolling white bars, holly hutch, big warehouse windows) at this shoot that we wanted to feature and it just might be one of our favorite styled shoots of all time. We hope that you love it as much as we do.

For the record, I am trying to get better about blogging our styled and inspiration shoots so you guys can get the full picture and see a cohesive wedding with tons of photos and details. Thank you so much for clicking the link and showing some love.

Okay, back to the shoot! I had worked with Jenny Haury Photography a few times before this day and have always LOVED her photos. Jenn's overall style and moody vibe was just what we needed to bring this vision to life. If you're not following her over on Instagram, you really should be. Take a peek at her raw, real and beautiful style. Shout out to a fellow army spouse for killing the boss babe game and making beautiful things happen.

The Ceremony

We love things that don't match. When we started this business, a mismatched chair collection was something that we knew we had to have. Non-traditional and so unique, this bohemian wedding had to have them. Also, I hope ceremony rugs never go out of style.

Cookie Bar

A spin on the traditional cake table - we used our "Holly" hutch as a statement piece to create the most beautiful cookie display. Guests had the choice to take some for now or take some home for later. See that gorgeous, hand-lettered mirror? My super talented friend, Rachel from Handmade Darling lettered the invitation suite, seating chart and signs throughout this shoot. Be sure too look closely and follow her amazing work. Link below!

The Tablescape

Mismatched woods and whites set the scene for this gorgeous tablescape. We wanted to add in soft florals and goblets for that color that we crave with metal accents shining through in our flatware and brass candlesticks. Kevin from Sherwood florist used soft pink and cream roses with a whole bunch of eucalyptus. We added antlers for that natural boho detail.

Definitely, an all time favorite. What's not to love here?!

The Bar

After the ceremony, where do your guests go? To the bar. So we always plan to make it beautiful and use the opportunity to add your personal style and signature drinks to the decor. We built two of these beautiful bars and note to self: do not try to roll them in your backyard right after a storm, they might get stuck. (don't worry, we got it back into the warehouse, safe and sounds and still charming as ever.)

Sweetheart Table

A table for the newlyweds. If you choose to sit with your sweetheart on your wedding day, there are so many ways to make it extra special.

Custom Gift Boxes

Everyone talks about carrying your style, details and theme throughout your whole event. Kelly from Bella Box Gifts created this PERFECT welcome box for wedding guests. The signature drinks for this wedding were moscow and kentucky mules. Kelly personalized these boxes and carefully selected items that would complement the wedding theme and colors. These curated gift boxes were a great excuse to start the celebration early while thanking guests for coming to the wedding. Be sure to click the link below to see more from Bella Box Gifts.

Sweet Details

Accent decor and vignettes help to fill the empty spaces in venues and around your reception. Little details are our favorite and we used mixed metals and soft floral to creative that cohesiveness we so love.

Seating Chart

We picked up {4} of these gorgeous chippy white windows and just knew that they would make an amazing seating chart display. Can you imagine all four windows displayed together? I can't wait for that wedding. Rachel from Handmade Darling lettered the seating assignments on one of our old windows and it was a stunning detail in this display. Things that go really well together? Floral, hand-lettering and vintage rentals. Wouldn't you agree? Also, desserts. Always, desserts.
